New Romero Project Gets a Name? Island of the Dead
For those of us Dead faithful out there eagerly anticipating George A. Romero’s latest trip into the world of the flesh eater, it’s time to rejoice! The film finally has a name! At least, according to IMDB…
What they’re now calling Island of the Dead, instead of the previously listed Untitled Romero Project, is set to wrap principal photography today up in Canada, and I for one couldn’t be more giddy. The film, which is set right after the events in Diary of the Dead, takes place on a fishing island off the northeastern coast that is inhabited by two struggling and warring family factions. Add the dead into the mix, and you can bet bloody chaos will ensue.
“The movie has a lot of elements from Dawn,” said Romero when I chatted with him a few months ago, and I’m sure that statement alone is music to a lot of fans’ ears.
We’ll get you official confirmation of the title when it comes, but for now keep it right here for what I can promise you will be some stellar coverage of the new flick that you’re not going to find anywhere else!
