More horror is potentially heading to our TVs as USA Network has announced a pilot pick-up for “Falling Water” from executive producers Gale Anne Hurd (“The Walking Dead”) of Valhalla Entertainment, Blake Masters (2 Guns), and the late Emmy Award-winning Henry Bromell (“Homeland”).

The pilot was written and co-created by Masters and Bromell and is from Universal Cable Productions (UCP). Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) will also executive produce and is set to direct the pilot.

Bromell, who passed away unexpectedly in 2013, reunited with Masters to write the spec script for “Falling Water”; the two previously teamed up on “Brotherhood” and “Rubicon.”

“People have always been fascinated by the subconscious, and ‘Falling Water’ explores that topic in very unique and unexpected ways,” said Jackie de Crinis, Executive Vice President Original Series, USA Network. “In this story the immensely talented and prolific storytellers, Blake and Henry, have created an innovative thriller and compelling vehicle to bring the subject of dreams to television.”

A mind-bending thriller intersecting reality and unconscious thoughts, “Falling Water” is the story of three unrelated people who slowly realize that they are dreaming separate parts of a single common dream. Each is on a quest for something that can only be found in their subconscious — a missing girlfriend, a son, a way to communicate with a catatonic mother. However, the more they begin to use the dream world as a tool to advance their hidden agendas, they realize that their visions are trying to tell them something and that their very real lives are at stake.
