Richard Brake Brings Doom Head to Rob Zombie’s 31
Richard Brake may be best known to Rob Zombie fans as the foul-mouthed EMT with an aversion to cows in Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2, but the man’s been around for quite some time and has one helluva character actor pedigree. That’s why it’s no surprise he’d be teaming with the musician/filmmaker again on 31.
The news comes as always from Rob Zombie’s Facebook page, where Zombie announced, “Tomorrow begins DAY 6 of filming 31 and it is the first day of work for RICHARD BRAKE as the deadliest man alive DOOM-HEAD!”
Brake joins the previously announced Malcolm McDowell, who will play Father Murder, the owner of Murder World; Judy Geeson as “Sister Dragon”; David Ury as “Schizo-Head”; Daniel Roebuck as Pastor Victor; Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs as “Panda Thomas,” the manager of a traveling roadshow known as “The Venus Lux Happy Time Fun Show”; E.G. Daily as the character “Sex-Head”; and Torsten Voges as “Death-Head.”
31 is, in part, a crowdfunded endeavor that will allow Zombie’s legions of fans to be involved from the ground up with his latest project. Fans will have access to exclusive VIP experiences involving the film and Zombie’s music career. In addition to the wide range of VIP experiences, fans can also get their hands on exclusive merch and original props from Zombie’s films. Check out the campaign, which is being hosted at RZ-31. There’s still time left to get in on it!
Synopsis:
31 follows five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large secret compound known as Murder World. Once there, they have 12 hours to survive a terrifying game called 31 in which “The Heads” – murderous maniacs dressed as clowns – are released to hunt them down and kill them.
