I Kill Giants on the Big Screen
That’s right! I do a lot of things here at Dread Central. I frequently perform amazing feats of strength, am an expert knitter, and oh yes, I Kill Giants. Well, not really. The other two are true though.
Variety is reporting that Treehouse Pictures has come on to fully finance Anders Walter’s feature-length directorial debut, I Kill Giants, adapted from Joe Kelly’s graphic novel about a misfit girl battling monsters in her life.
Chris Columbus is producing through his 1492 Pictures/Ocean Blue Entertainment along with Treehouse, Man of Action Entertainment, and XYZ Films. Kelly will write the screenplay adaptation for I Kill Giants.
I Kill Giants won a Gaiman Award in 2013 and the International Manga Award in 2012. The producers are currently casting with production targeted for later this year. XYZ is handling worldwide sales on the project.
