MTV’s Scream TV Series Potentially Titled Hush
Most details about MTV’s upcoming series based on the Scream franchise are still being kept under wraps, which is a bit strange considering it’s headed our way this October. In fact, we don’t even yet know the title of the show, though we’ve just been assuming it’s “Scream.” But perhaps it’s not.
Several casting websites, including Project Casting and Auditions Free, recently posted casting calls for actors, billing the series under the title “Hush.” They say that the show is currently in production in Louisiana and is looking for extras to play high school students, teachers, and police officers.
Could it be that “Hush” is simply being used in place of the real title to maintain some kind of secrecy? Productions oftentimes utilize diversion tactics such as that, but it’s hard to believe this one would have a reason to hide anything, as we already know it’s in the works. Interesting, to say the least.
