Get Your First Look at Xavier Samuel in Frankenstein
With so many various Frankenstein projects out there right now, it’s hard to keep them all straight, but today we have a first look at one of them, Bernard Rose’s version starring Xavier Samuel, and hopefully having a face to put with the name will help keep this one fresh in your minds.
Along with Samuel (Twilight, Adore, Fury), Carrie-Ann Moss (the Matrix trilogy) and Danny Huston (“American Horror Story,” Big Eyes) co-star in this modern day adaptation of the classic tale by Mary Shelley. Frankenstein will world premiere this coming weekend at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.
Rose directed from his original script based on Shelley’s novel. Samuel stars as the Monster, Moss as Elizabeth Frankenstein, Huston as Victor Frankenstein, and Tony Todd as Eddie, reuniting with his Candyman director Rose. The special effects make-up was designed by six-time Emmy nominee Randy Westgate (X-Men Origins: Wolverine).
Synopsis:
FRANKENSTEIN is set in present day Los Angeles and told entirely from the perspective of the Monster. After he is artificially created, then left for dead by a husband-and-wife team of eccentric scientists, Adam is confronted with nothing but aggression and violence from the world around him. This perfect creation turned disfigured monster must come to grips with the horrific nature of humanity.
