Goodard’s Cabin Moves to 2010

Cabin in the Woods! Not much of an update, but a sad one nonetheless; Box Office Mojo have learned that Drew Goddard’s “>Cabin in the Woods, which he co-scripted with Joss Whedon, has moved from its October 23rd, 2009 release date, which would have given horror fans something to choose from and leaves Saw VI likely the only game in town again, to February 5th, 2010.

Obviously BOM doesn’t have any reasoning for this, just the date change, but it could be any number of things from the script not being ready to the film’s start date being pushed back to simply wanting to have more time to promote it. I seriously doubt it was fear of competing with Saw VI, but I guess we can’t rule that out yet.

Cabin in the Woods still has no synopsis to speak of; all we know is that it’s a horror/comedy and that the title is, indeed, the setting of the film. Hopefully we’ll be hearing something solid soon so stay tuned!
