Neon Demon – Alessandro Nivola Nabs Lead
Some late casting news has come in from Deadline who are reporting that Alessandro Nivola has just signed on for a lead role in the Nicolas Winding Refn-directed Neon Demon. He will play a fashion impresario who taps Elle Fanning as his muse.
The Neon Demon stars Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks, Elle Fanning (Super 8), Abbey Lee (Drive), Jena Malone (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1), Bella Heathcote (Beneath Hill 60), and Karl Glusman (Stonewall).
Refn said of The Neon Demon, “One morning I woke and realized I was both surrounded and dominated by women. Strangely, a sudden urge was planted in me to make a horror film about vicious beauty.”
Refn’s regular collaborators, editor Matthew Newman and composer Cliff Martinez, will be joined by The Grandmaster director of photography Philippe Le Sourd on the film. Refn’s partner, Lene Borglum, will produce under their Space Rocket banner.
Synopsis:
