Trailer, Artwork, and More for Krystal Heib’s Jasmine Short Film
Jasmine, a new short film written, produced, and directed by Krystal Heib, had its world premiere last week in Kansas City, MO, and is in the process of being submitted to festivals. In the meantime, Heib dropped us a line with more details, some artwork, and the film’s trailer. Look for a review soon!
Jasmine is a suspenseful dark comedy about a mysterious woman and her online dating experiences. Heib told us about the film, “[Jasmine] was made from creation to finish in four months, from January to April 2015. The premise of the film was created by Matt Scarlett (executive producer) from Harren Press, a local KC publishing company. I took the idea and wrote the film the next day… Next, we got our lead actress, Jasmine Abou-Kassem (the only actress I had in mind for the part), and our director of photography, Chris Commons (who shot my first film, Weenies) on board. The rest was speed of light history.”
Other cast members include Scott Vancil, Sebastian Smith, Kristin Rea, Joshua Cooper, Charles Stapleton, and Kimberly Igla.
