Absence (Short, 2016)
Starring Paul McGann, Carolina Giametta
Directed by Rob Savage
Sometimes, it’s not the length, but the power… or so some former female associates of mine have confided in me… Anyhow, in this particular case, we’ve got a STRONG showing for one of the more memorable short horror films to hit the slate here in 2016. It’s from director Rob Savage, and it’s titled Absence – get ready to get creeped out with this one.
Paul McGann (“Dr. Who”) stars as a man who is presumably suffering through a tough grieving process regarding his wife (Giametta), and for a quickie that only spans around two and a half minutes, this one is as plain as the nose on your face and is summed up in very spooky fashion.
Look, guys and gals, I’d LOVE nothing more than to go into details about this, but trust me… once it’s available to all (and it should be shortly), it shouldn’t be passed up. I mean, come on; it’s less than three minutes from opening to end credits!
Chalk this one up as a solid staple into the horror short film plethora that continues to bombard the masses.
