Dinner (Short, 2016)

Starring Aleksandra Svetlichnaya, Joshua Kachnycz, Ricardo Segarra
Directed by Aleksandra Svetlichnaya
Whoever said that a routine date night was in fact just that – routine – obviously never set eyes upon this Dinner, a short horror/comedy from director Aleksandra Svetlichnaya. Picture a beautiful woman strolling in the darkened street, headed out for a meal and a movie at her boyfriend’s home, and she’s “accosted” by two creatured-up goofballs looking for their next victim. Sounds crazy, doesn’t it?
Well, you haven’t seen anything yet, fiends. It’s not long until this night takes a completely unexpected turn, and our damsel in distress becomes a heroine in heels – this chick’s an ass-kicker, and she’s got the scrapes to prove it!
Horror infused with some silly comedic elements adds up to a fun watch for those looking for a little inanity with their terror. Svetlichnaya pulls double-duty as director/actress and lights up the screen with her beauty, as well as flexes her muscles both in front of as well as behind the lens.
Rule number one: Don’t take it seriously, and you’ll be able to enjoy it that much more. So settle in and have a laugh when the invite to dine comes your way.
