Born Again (2016)
Starring Ellie Church, Brian Spangler, Tiffany Arnold
Directed by Jason Tostevin
There’s ineptitude at every level – be it work, or schooling…hell, even religion has its share of screw-ups (trust me, this will make sense). What I’m getting at is that wherever you look, someone has a hand in fouling something up to varying levels, but what about those practicing religion? Are they allowed a free pass for ruining something as colossally grand as welcoming the son of Satan into our world?
Directed by Jason Tostevin, his short film Born Again shines the light into the dark when a group of bumbling devil-worshipers botch the ritual ceremony of a pregnant woman (Church) who is birthing Beelzebub’s bouncing baby, and the payoff is ultimately more rewarding than the buildup. Amusing, slick and humorous to boot, the 7-minute quickie will entertain those wanting a few laughs with their black arts operations. When it becomes available to view, please don’t show up late to the observance, and make sure that you’re donned in the proper attire – the clergy thanks you for your participation.
