From the maker of Dinocroc, Dinoshark, and the upcoming Sharktopus vs. Mermantula comes Dracano!

The synopsis reads: A catastrophic volcanic eruption releases ancient dragon-like creatures on the surrounding areas. Scientists believe this could start a chain reaction of volcanic eruptions giving way to a global Dragon Apocalypse.

Everything about Dracano screams “made-for-Syfy,” so much so that when it showed up this week on DVD and VOD, I automatically assumed that it had already premiered on Syfy. Turns out I had not somehow missed Dracano’s Syfy premiere; it appears to have simply bypassed the network altogether. Or it could be airing on the channel later this year. Or maybe, just maybe, Syfy took one look and realized it wasn’t up the standards required to get airplay on their post-Sharknado airwaves.

An inane, overly talky, low-rent Sharknado wannabe deserves an inane, overly talky review recorded on a cheap little voice recorder while out driving. Here’s ten minutes of me rambling on about the disappointing creature/disaster exposition-thon that is Dracano.
