Now this? This is pretty cool. Anchor Bay has packaged itself the mother of all Halloween box sets in celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the movie in what has to be the best damned packaging I’ve seen to date. Let’s explore a bit, shall we?
Once you get past the cool ass rubber mask that’s on the front of the box (and no, it is not removable, nor is it big enough to wear), inside you’ll find six discs of Shape-laden goodness!
Things kick off with three versions of the original film: Halloween, Halloween: The Extended Cut, which includes all of the extra footage shown on TV, and the Blu-ray version of the movie that words alone cannot describe. The movie has never looked better. If that’s not enough for you, you’ll also find Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, and the all-inclusive documentary Halloween: 25 Years of Terror.
That’s quite a haul, no? Since we have reviews already of almost everything included here, I’m just gonna point you in their direction so you can get the general idea of what to expect …

There are a couple of buggy things about this collection. The first is that this is the standard DVD version of Halloween and not the glorious 25th Anniversary Edition, and the second is that only Disc One of Halloween: 25 Years of Terror is present. For Disc Two, which contained lots of goodies, you’re gonna have to shell out the cash for the DVD separately. Still, the packaging makes up for the omissions, and this is a set that no Halloween fan will want to be without. But therein lies the problem …
Only two types of people will buy this — extreme fanboys and the handful of horror fans who don’t own one or more of the flicks included here already on DVD. Is it worth the cash? Well, the price is low enough, but ultimately that’s up to you all to decide.
Mine is sitting proudly on my shelf.
